Dr Theodosios Alestas studied Medicine at the National and Capodistrian University of Athens. He trained as a dermatologist in Athens at “Andreas Syngros” Hospital for Skin and Venereal Diseases. Prior to his training he completed a doctorate degree at Charite’ University Medical School in Berlin, Germany. He continued his experimental research in the field of inflammatory diseases such as acne at San Gallicano Institute in Rome, Italy.
During his specialization he spent several months in the Dermoscopy Unit at the University Department of Dermatology (AKH) in Vienna, Austria. He has published internationally in the field of dermatology and has presented abstracts at national and international meetings. As a dermatologist, Dr Alestas practices privately and at “Mitera” Hospital and specialises in the diagnosis and management of all skin problems in adults and children.
